Biostatistical Analysis of Autoimmune Clinical Data
Job Description
We are a translational immunology laboratory focused on understanding the pathogenesis, prediction, prevention and precision treatment of immune-mediated diseases to improve patients’ lives. We have large, complex experimental datasets partnered with detailed clinical data to help better understand disease and improve treatments. We are looking for a Biostatistician or experienced Data Analyst to join our team to help analyze current and emerging data. This person will perform biostatistic analyses of clinical trial and associated experimental data.
Responsibilities
Develops data analysis plans, including power calculations. Performs a wide variety of analyses, including but not limited to parametric and non-parametric statistics. Evaluates the statistical methods and procedures used to obtain data and to ensure validity, applicability, efficiency, accuracy, reliability and usability of data. Reports results of statistical analyses, including information in the form of graphs, charts, and tables. Conveys results for presentations to non-statistical audiences. Analyzes and interprets statistical data and prepares conclusions. Identifies relationships and trends in data, as well as any factors that could affect the results of research. Assists scientists in designing experiments to facilitate correct analysis of data. Plans data collection methods for specific projects and determines the types and sizes of sample groups to be used. Queries databases and manages datasets.
Job Requirements
Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent field and two (2) years of relevant consulting in biostatistics experience or other relevant experience OR PhD degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Applied Mathematics, Epidemiology, or equivalent field and some relevant experience. Must have the ability to perform statistical analysis using appropriate statistical software programs and/or program in R.
Must have good organizational and communication skills. Must be able to work independently, as well as highly attentive to detail, and dependable. Works as a team player and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
